Music lesson costs at Hometown Rhythms vary between $25 and $30 for each weekly 30-minute private lesson. Lessons are paid on a monthly basis, so in a typical month with four weeks/lessons the cost is between $100 and $120. Sometimes there are three lessons and sometimes there may be five in a month and the monthly fee adjusted accordingly.
There is also a one-time $20 registration fee. This fee helps cover some of our administrative costs and serves to reserve your lesson slot when registering for lessons. The registration fee may be paid in the store via cash, check or card or online via card on our registration fee payment page.
Lesson costs vary based on instrument, level of instruction, experience of the teacher, and other expenses incurred by the teacher and/or studio such as travel time cost.
When starting lessons it will also often be necessary to purchase one or more books. These books supplement the teacher’s instructions during lessons and also serve as a basis for practice times between lessons. Books will usually run between $6 and $20 each and the total to start is usually between $15 and $20.
Students must also have their own instrument for lessons and for practice. Students/parents may ask for recommendations from our teachers to help find a good instrument for the student. We also try to provide a “New Student Checklist” that will provide additional information.
We look forward to an opportunity to serve you and your family.
